Heart Punch Flower Tutorial !!

Hi Everyone,
Today I am Sharing with you all  a Tutorial for making a Flower using Heart Punch..Please be Warned that This is a Picture -Heavy Post       As I Could Not Skip any Steps...I am showing You the tutorial for This Flower :-

So here's What You will Need To Make This Flower :-

As You can see You will Need a Medium Size  Heart Punch and a  Daisy Punch and  Glue,A Needle tool ,Forceps and Scissors to Start Off...!!!

Then, You Need to Punch out Approximately 20-30 Hearts and 2 Daisies..

Take the 2 Daisy Punched flowers and Add a drop of Glue In the Center of 1 and ,Place the other Daisy on it and Emboss it as Shown   in the Picture,... Here I have used an Embossing tool but You can Always use the back of a Ball -Point pen or Pencil to Emboss the flower...
Now,Take the Punched -heart and  Cut off the Pointed End with Scissors ,Then,Start Rolling the 2 sides of the Heart as Shown in the Picture...
Now, Roll the Center of the Heart using the needle -Tool as Shown in the Picture ......Now,This will Make the Petals of your Flower,Make Atleast 15 to 20 Petals in this Manner!!
Now,start Layering the Petals on the Embossed Daisy as Shown in the Picture...I have made the Base using 6 Petals...But You can Vary the number Of petals according to the Size of The Flower you want!!
I have Added the 2nd and the 3rd row of Petals Similar to the First Row....The 2nd and the 3rd  Row  have 5 and 4 Petals Respectively!!

Now, For the center of The Flower, Take a heart Punch and Cut  1/4 of the bottom half of it  and Roll The Petal As Shown....This will Form the center of The Flower....

Now,After You Placed all The layers Take a Circle Punch and  Punch Out 1 Circle...This will Form the Main  Center  Bud of the Flower   .......

Roll The Circle into a Tight Bud,As Shown Above using your Needle -Tool, And Place It In the very center of The Flower.....And you will get  the Following Flower as a Final Result!!

  Roughly,Cut 2 leaves   .
Then,  Shape the  Veins Using your needle Tool as Shown   ....
I hope you all Liked My Tutorial and  Understood the Steps Properly....But if you Have any Doubts or  Questions You can Always Leave Me a Comment or mail Me!!And I will Surely try  to Answer your Queries :)
                                          ~Hussena.

Super easy layered handmade flower tutorial

Hi, this is Juhi and I am going to show how to make these layered flowers. I get a lot of queries from non-regular crafters on how to make and embellish cards for their loved ones......so I decided to post a tutorial on how make handmade flowers using material which is easily available at home. These flowers can be made in less than 5 minutes and require no fancy craft tools or supplies!
Things required:
1. Thick handmade paper/cardstock ( I used a wedding invitation envelope).
2. Scissors
3. Glue
4. Stapler (optional)
5. Something for the flower center - buttons/half cut pearls/beads.....
6. Paint brush or a pen - this will be used to roll the flower petals
Roughly cut out 3 circles of different sizes (my biggest circle has a 2 inch diameter).....these circles don't have to be perfect (mine are freehand).....I have used the printed side of the wedding invite to add some color.
Give 6-7 equally spaced radial cuts on the circles. be careful not to cut till the center but slightly less than that. These will be the flower petals
Roll the petals around the end of a paint brush or pen.
Stack the rolled layers and staple in the center.
Make the flower center with a button/half cut beads or whatever you like and your flower is ready! Increase or decrease the number of layers to get bigger or smaller flowers.
I hope this was easy enough.....do lemmi know if it was not!
Thanks for visiting!

Hi,
I am Hussena a Wife ,a Mother and now very much a Crafter.I am a stay at home mom of two kids ages 13 and 5 Respectively and have been blogging since Dec 2010 I was introduced to Blogging because of my love for Quiiling I used to browse the net a lot to get inspiration for designs and different forms of Quilling and that's when I first came across Suganthi 's blog "DAYDREAMS"her blog inspired me to start my own blog and share some of my work.Though I am very much into Quiiling I have started to try my hand at other Crafts too and Stamping is my New Found Love , and the support of Fellow Bloggers has helped me a lot.

My Blogging Experience has been a lot of Fun ...I have Gained a lot of Confidence And even Appreciation from Fellow Bloggers and Have got to Learn So Many New Craft Ideas from Various Blogs that I visit ..So All in All its Been a Learning Experience I can Say.

Mallika kejriwal:
She creates some magic with black n white n brown:)yes she is a vintage queen n most of her creations are made with only black, white n brown. One thing i love about her creations is,she added lots n lots of stuffs here n there in her creations, but all of it blends so well with each other.I always love busy creations,so no wonder i love her work:)
Over to her..

Well to start with I am Mallika Kejriwal ..technically I am a final year student of Computer Science Engineering
( With practically no knowledge of my course subjects ) .

Since I was 5 , I always loved colors and threads n stuff . I remember I use to make doll clothes when I was a litle girl .
With growing age I got engrossed in studies and other activities like swimming , debates alot more .
It was during my third year of engineering , A very good friend of mine asked me What I want to do in future because I had no aptitude for this so
called technical field . He inspired me to start up something , something which could define me .I really wanted to be part of NID ( National Institute od designing , Ahemedabad)
so to prepare a portfolio for it , I started making cards using news papers , old scraps of paper etc .Once While surfing , I found a blogs on card making ( spardha , tejal , anita , karuna , kavi )
I was amazed by the stunning creations and I then realized there is a lot more to card making . There are thousand of tools and supplies available in USA
which are used . I started my own blog (www.missnotsogoodwithwords.blogspot.com) and ssince then it never stopped . I was caught by the craft bug .
I saved my pocket money , sold cards to get stuff imported to India . As we say " Money makes money " , the more tools and supplies I got , My cards improved .
I was juggling between my college course and my addiction towards crafting .All the free time I use to make cards , Finished orders . At present I have an inventory
of supplies and raw material worth 1 lakh .. and all I have done myself in my hostel room .

Juhi :
Well she is the inspiration for me to take up card making, only through her blog i came to know about paper crafting n other paper crafters blog in india. She is a great inspiration for all card makers, and not to mention about her scrapbooks,..its so beautiful n professional:)
Over to her..

"Hi this is Juhi, presently a SAHM to a four month old girl who takes up most of my day, but I do manage to sneak in some craft time during the day. I have been blogging about my paper craft projects for more than 3 years and I cannot imagine my life without blogging now! I am really honored to have been short listed for the design team at Kavitha's blog, looking forward to working with some very creative women."

Anita kejriwal:
She is my first paper crafting blogger friend:)she has helped me in many ways in initial days to get all the stuffs i need,n she is the one i always bug when i have any doubts, she patiently answered all those:)She is a great inspiration for me for punch craft, and no wonder we all fondly call her punch craft queen, she makes some lovely flowers:)
Over to her..

My name is Anita Kejriwal from Kolkata and I,m SAHM with two kids and a very understanding husband who has given up against my madness for crafting!! LOL!!!
Yes!!! You can call me craft crazy!!! Not a day goes by when I do not create anything and my crafting den is my heaven.
As far as I remember, this bug bit me when I was really young say about 6 or 7 years old when I was into lot of drawing and colouring. Then I started making cards and till date , I,ve never bought a card and have only made them.
SInce last 2 years, I have started taking it very seriously and thats when I started blogging!!! Then, I came to know lot of other crafters----Shalini, Rachana, Juhi, Spardha, Kavitha, and Romina.
These people have helped me to grow and evolve with time and thanks to Shalini and Rachana for teaching me how to blog.
All the other crafters have been an inspiration for me and I love and admire each one of your work.
My greatest passion is card making and scrapbooking! I love punch craft and quilling but I,m always open to learning new things.
Stamping is another thing, I ,m addicted to.
I,m really happy to be a part of Kavitha's Challenge blog and hope to contribute to it as much as possible.
You can view my work on my blog craftingforever-anita.blogspot.com
So keep taking part in the challenges here and let us all create and share!!!
Happy crafting!!!

Priya sondhi:
She make some very beautiful n neat creations with minimal supplies.Love the way she makes it clean n crisp n the way she photographs her creations. No doubt she will a great inspiration for all the new bloggers in future:)
Over to her...

"Hello friends! It’s Priya Sondhi. Basically from Punjab but currently working in Bangalore, India. I am a hardcore techie by profession but a true paper crafter at heart. In the beginning of last year, I came across Martha Stewart's paper crafts. I got fascinated with all the pretty things she offered. On digging more, I found a whole new world called "Paper crafting" and a bunch of Indian crafter's like Juhi, Kavitha, Tejal and Spardha. I stalked their blogs silently :D... I even asked Juhi to teach me paper crafting.. I hope she can recall... ;) I slowly started my process of learning paper crafts..With the encouragement of few lovely ladies in ICR I finally decided to start my blog… and since then there is no looking back... I was awarded with ICR achiever for the year 2011... Which is my highest achievement till now as a crafter...
I love making cards, boxes, envelopes, mini albums, bookmarks, wallhangining, etc... I keep experimenting new things and still have to learn so much...
I am so excited to be a part of this super creative team. I am sure you all will have a great time here at Love for crafting blog. "

I am sure, now you will all agree with me that we have some of the best indian crafters in our team:)
So we will be back with brand new challenge on 10th april, stay tuned.................

Happy crating,
kavi
